Demolition works underway!
SHARE

To progress construction for Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment, the northern half of Building D (old North Block), Hope Cottage and Doctors Accommodation is being demolished.

The demolition works, which began this week, will take a few months to complete.

Increased construction means there will be some challenging times ahead due to the hospital’s close proximity to the site.

To minimise the impact, regular noise, dust and vibration monitoring will occur to ensure construction stays within the limits set by SafeWork NSW.

There will also be a "reduced noise period" between 12pm and 2pm from Monday to Friday.

Site fencing has been erected around the demolition zone to proceed with safe demolition and minimise the impact on patients, staff and visitors on campus.

The P1 car park link bridge and North Block Corridors which connect the P1 multi-storey car park on Parker Street to the hospital will remain closed to the public and staff until further notice. When using the P1 car park, staff and the public should enter the hospital via Building C (West Block) during this period of demolition works.

During this busy construction period at Nepean Hospital, please allow extra travel time when visiting the hospital and pay close attention to traffic and pedestrian signage.
