P1 link-bridge closure
P1 link-bridge closure
SHARE
Wednesday 5 July 2023
In order to progress demolition works in Building D (old North Block), the
P1 link-bridge will be temporarily closed to everyone (including most staff and all of the general public) from
Thursday 6 July.
Exceptions will only be made for
Pathology, Pharmacy and ICU access, as well as emergency transfers from the Nepean Private Hospital. Pharmacy will be providing an outreach service to deliver all medications to the wards.
During this period, staff can continue parking in the P1 car park and enter the hospital from the ground floor via the Building C (West Block).
For safety and security reasons please do not escort patients or visitors into the hospital via any staff only entrance; they must use the Building C public entrance.
The link-bridge is scheduled to re-open in a couple of months' time once demolition works are completed.
In the meantime, we will be putting in place site fencing for the Stage 2 construction zone to enable these works to safely proceed. This will significantly improve the experience for patients, staff and visitors on campus throughout this construction period.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we progress these important works to deliver our Stage 2 building.
