On 15 January 2019, the Somerset Street car park was permanently closed to progress construction of the new hospital tower as part of the Nepean Redevelopment Stage 1. The North Block access road and drop off zone has also been closed as part of construction. The new multi-storey car park is now open and accessible via Parker Street to patients, carers and visitors.
The car park is available for staff, patients, carers and visitors.
There are more than 600 car spaces including 14 disabled spaces, pram and senior parking for patients, visitors and staff to the Nepean Hospital campus.
Visitors can access the new multi-storey car park heading southbound only on Parker Street or by entering the main hospital entrance on the Derby Street roundabout and proceeding past the Emergency Department and continuing on the access road under West Block.
The new multi-storey car park is a boom-gated facility and has security lighting, video surveillance and help points to provide a safe parking option. The new car park’s link-way bridge provides an easy way to access the hospital at Level 2 North Block.
Yes.
A link-way pedestrian bridge provides direct access to the Hospital at Level 2 North Block. Visitors will be able to access the link-way bridge between 5am to 8pm daily. For access after hours please use the intercom. It is recommended outside these hours that visitors access the main building via the after-hours entrance near the Emergency Department.
Parking fees will be the same across all of our car parks and follow pre-existing NSW Health policies, including the annual CPI price rise. For information on fees, and to see if you are eligible for patient or visitor concessions, visit bit.ly/nepean-parking-pricing. For staff, information on parking fees and access, is available on the NBMLHD intranet.
