About our redevelopment
The NSW Government has committed $1 billion for The Nepean Redevelopment, which is delivering contemporary and expanded hospital services, and integrated community health facilities at Nepean Hospital for the Penrith and Blue Mountains communities.

The redevelopment, which is being delivered in two stages is well underway, with the new Stage 1 tower opening in 2022. Construction of the Stage 2 building is scheduled to get underway in 2023.

    Construction on the new 14-storey hospital tower (Building A) is now complete, officially marking the end of the first stage of works for the world-class health facility.

    The new purpose-built unit at the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital features six spacious treatment spaces that offer privacy and comfort to patients.

    The new Somerset Cottage Early Childhood Education and Care Centre was officially opened on Tuesday 7 July 2020.
